A car accident in San Bernardino County resulted in fatal injuries for 66-year-old Alfred Eclipse Jr. The Press-Enterprise reports that the collision between Eclipse's UPS big rig and a Nissan 350z sports car, occurred the morning of January 25, 2012 on the 15 Freeway  in Hesperia. California Highway Patrol officials say that a speeding Nissan went out of control and hit the truck's left wheel. The UPS truck rolled over and went down an embankment. Eclipse was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nissan's driver did not sustain life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

A driver who was fatally injured in a car accident in Ventura on October 15, 2011 has been identified by officials as 50-year-old Eusebio Martinez, Jr. The Ventura County Star reports that the fatal car accident occurred on Highway 126 in Fillmore. Authorities say Martinez crashed into a semi-truck after trying to get out of the way of a Nissan SUV that pulled into traffic without stopping at a stop sign. The gold Nissan SUV fled the scene of the crash. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials are looking for the hit-and-run driver.

California truck accident lawyersA 22-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man were both injured in a Mendocino County car accident between a Buick, a 2010 Peterbilt, and a 1998 Dodge. According to The Lake County Record-Bee, the truck accident occurred on Highway 20 in Mendocino County, the afternoon of July 7, 2011. For unknown reasons, the 55-year-old man let his Dodge cross over the double yellow lines.

First, the Dodge struck the Peterbilt truck. Then it went onto crash head-on against the Buick being driven by the 22-year-old woman. The woman was injured, but the extent of her injuries is unclear at this time. The driver of Dodge suffered a broken arm. No arrests were made or citations issued pending an official investigation.

Two people who were fatally injured in a car accident in Los Angeles have been identified as Otis Hall Jr. and Sharon Higgins, both 20. The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports that the fatal accident occurred the morning of May 16, 2011 on the 60 Freeway near Garey Avenue in Pomona. Hall and Higgins, who had been involved in an earlier collision, were standing outside their vehicles on the shoulder when they and their vehicles were struck by a big-rig that had veered off the roadway. Hall and Higgins were both pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was also injured. Officials are looking into what caused this accident.

A passenger who was fatally injured in a car accident in Los Angeles has been identified by officials as 28-year-old Jaime Angelina Jones. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports that the fatal truck accident occurred the morning of April 27, 2011 on the Interstate 210 near Irwindale Avenue in Irwindale.

California Highway Patrol officials say Jones was a passenger in a 2008 Kia, which was disabled after a solo crash. The car was then struck by a truck driven by a 60-year-old man. Two other women were able to exit the car, but Jones was unable to do so and was fatally injured on impact. An investigation is ongoing.

A big rig driver and his passenger who sustained major injuries in a Riverside car accident have been identified as 36-year-old Dragos Tanase and Bora Nastic, 66. The Southwest Riverside News Network reports that the injury truck accident happened on the 10 Freeway in Desert Center the morning of March 15, 2011, when a big rig driven by 55-year-old John Lang rear-ended a 2007 Freightliner driven by Tanase. Two other vehicles, a big rig and a sedan were also involved in the collision, but those drivers sustained relatively minor injuries.

A truck accident in Los Angeles proved fatal for two women early morning on March 3, 2011. KABC News reports that the fatal car accident occurred when the driver of a tractor-trailer lost control and crashed the big rig into the center divider on the westbound 60 Freeway in Hacienda Heights. The impact of the collision caused the truck to go into the opposite lanes of traffic and strike a Nissan Sentra. Both women in the Nissan Sentra were pronounced dead at the scene. Officials are still looking into what caused the driver of the big rig to lose control of the truck.

A man, who was killed in a San Diego bicycle accident the morning of February 5, 2011, has been identified as 60-year-old Marberry Ben Acree. The San Diego Medical Examiner's office reports that the fatal bicycle accident occurred on Friars Road near the 15 Freeway off-ramp when a box truck exiting the freeway hit Acree's bicycle. Acree died at the scene. Investigators are looking into the cause of this fatal car accident.

A car accident in Riverside the morning of January 4, 2011, resulted in injuries for two drivers, The Press-Enterprise reports. Police say the collision occurred between a Riverside Transit Authority bus and a semi-truck at the intersection of Market Street and Mission Inn Avenue. The drivers of the bus and truck were injured, but are expected to survive. Officials are looking into who had the right-of-way at the intersection at the time of the accident.

I'm relieved to hear that neither one of the drivers sustained major injuries in this truck versus bus accident. It is also fortunate that there were no passengers on board the bus. I wish both the drivers a swift and full recovery. They will be in my thoughts and prayers. Read More

A fiery truck accident in Victorville resulted in major injuries for one driver the night of December 8, 2010. The Victorville Daily Press reports that the major injury car accident happened on the 15 Freeway. A Honda Accord and Chevy Malibu crashed after the Chevy cut off the Honda. The Malibu had collided into the center divider and stalled when it was hit by a Honda Civic and a big-rig. The large truck caught fire. The driver, who was ejected from the big-rig just before it caught fire, was taken to an area hospital with severe injuries. Three other injuries were also reported in this crash. Read More
