Personal injury attorney in FresnoTwo people – a 28-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl – were injured in a car accident in Fresno after a head-on collision the afternoon of June 22, 2011. The Fresno Bee reports that the injury collision occurred on Highway 41 when a 53-year-old man who was driving a Ford truck lost control of the vehicle and crashed into another vehicle. The woman and the girl, both passengers in the vehicle that was hit, suffered major injuries. Officials say the driver lost control of the pickup truck because of a front tire that blew.

A rollover accident involving a Chevy Suburban SUV in southeast Fresno proved fatal for a toddler who was ejected and killed. The Fresno Bee reports that the fatal car accident occurred the afternoon of December 19, 2010 on Highway 180 near Fowler Avenue. The SUV went out of control for unknown reasons and the 3-year-old boy was ejected. It is not clear if the boy was restrained in a car seat or belted at all. An investigation is ongoing.

Riverside Car Accident Injures Six

Six people were injured in a Riverside car accident involving an SUV rollover. According to a City News Service report, the injury car accident occurred on the 10 Freeway near Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City the afternoon of December 3, 2010. A driver lost control of a Ford Expedition SUV, which rolled over. One person was thrown from the Ford Expedition and seriously injured. Five other occupants suffered minor, to major injuries. A Mississippi jury in Jasper County returned a verdict in a rollover accident case which ordered the Ford Motor Company to pay $131 million to the family of Brian Cole. Cole died in an accident while driving a Ford Explorer in 2001 when his vehicle went off the road and rolled over. His family has been battling Ford in court for years and finally received the verdict they were hoping for. The family is glad this matter is finally over and that the jury placed no fault on Cole for the accident and defective vehicle. At the time of the accident, Brian Cole had been a pitching prospect for the New York Mets. Cole's cousin, who was wearing a safety belt, was in the car and survived the crash. Read More

A pedestrian accident in Azusa resulted in serious injuries for 88-year-old Jose Martinez on September 26, 2010. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports that Martinez was walking in the 300 block of East Foothill Boulevard when he was struck by a Ford Windstar van. Martinez was taken to a hospital, but died shortly afterward. Police are investigating the cause of this fatal accident. Read More

Two young men who were killed in a car accident in San Francisco have been identified as Robby Macam, 19 and Nick Sarmiento, 20. KTVU reports that the fatal crash occurred the night of September 4, 2010 on Lake Merced Boulevard near John Muir Drive when the Honda turned perpendicular to traffic and ended up colliding with a Toyota. The crash also left three occupants in the Toyota with critical injuries. An investigation is ongoing. Read More

An SUV rollover accident in Los Angeles fatally injured 27-year-old Brian Flores and seriously injured 28-year-old Robert Alaniz and Anthony Holguin, 19. According to a news report in The Signal, the fatal crash occurred the night of April 25, 2010 on the Highway 14 near Agua Dulce Canyon Road. Alaniz lost control of the SUV and crashed through the guardrail after which the SUV rolled several times down an embankment. Drugs or alcohol did not cause the incident, California Highway Patrol officials said. Flores was pronounced dead at the scene while Alaniz and Holguin were taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.
