The Press-Enterprise reports that the hit-and-run crash occurred the morning of October 4, 2011 on the 215 Freeway at Newport Road in Menifee. Officials say a vehicle rear-ended O'Husky's vehicle, which crashed. The other vehicle left the scene. O'Husky was killed in the crash. An investigation is underway.

An elderly man who was killed in a car accident in Los Angeles has been identified as 72-year-old Raul Quintanilla. KTLA News reports that the fatal pedestrian accident happened near the intersection of Santa Gertrudes Street and Imperial Highway in La Mirada. Police say Quintanilla was walking on the street when he was hit and dismembered by a Chevy Malibu. The driver fled the scene, but turned himself later that day and was identified as 18-year-old Geoffrey Rocha.

City News Service reports that the injury hit-and-run crash occurred at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Serrano Avenue. Officials say a sedan rear-ended the vehicle and then carried the moped rider at least 100 feet on its hood before he dropped to the ground. The driver fled the scene, but was apprehended shortly afterward thanks to a tip from an eyewitness. He is now facing felony hit-and-run as well as DUI charges. California Highway Patrol officials say the fatal pedestrian accident happened at Grand Avenue and Blackwell Boulevard near Lake Elsinore the night of September 16, 2011. Cameron was struck by a Ford F-250 pickup truck, whose driver fled the scene of the crash. He died at an area hospital. Officials are looking for the hit-and-run driver. The suspect vehicle is believed to have damage to its right front fender. An investigation is ongoing.

The Ventura County Star reports that the crash happened at the intersection of Spring Road and Los Angeles Avenue in Moorpark the night of August 24, 2011. The victims were in a vehicle that was struck from behind by another car. The driver of that vehicle, 34-year-old Francisco Xavier Martinez-Amezcua, left the scene of the crash. However, he was apprehended and charged with DUI and hit-and-run, both felonies.

Enrique Lemus-Bautista, 50, was killed in a car accident in Los Angeles after his bicycle was struck by another driver. City News Service reports that the fatal bicycle accident occurred the night of August 23, 2011 at the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and Redondo Beach Boulevard in Compton. Officials say Lemus-Bautista was northbound on Avalon when he was struck by a BMW traveling west on Redondo Beach Boulevard. Lemus-Bautista, who was ejected from his bicycle, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the BMW left the scene. An investigation is ongoing.

A car accident in Riverside, involving two hit-and-run drivers, resulted in major injuries for 18-year-old Shynise J. Brown the morning of July 31, 2011. The Press-Enterprise reports that the injury collision happened on Highway 91 near Madison Street.

Brown was driving a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo which was run off the roadway by two other vehicles that were reportedly swerving in and out of lanes. One of the vehicles, a 2003 Chevy Malibu swerved into Brown's lane causing her to lose control of her vehicle and crash into a guardrail. Brown was severely injured. The driver of the Malibu and the driver of the other car, a dark SUV, left the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
