Felony Hit and Run Codes Under California Laws
California Vehicle Code 20001 VC addresses what is considered a felony hit and run. Under this vehicle code, felony hit and run citations are issued when a driver fails to stay at the scene of the accident, and the accident resulted in injuries or fatalities. Felony hit and run citations can also be issued if the drive stayed on the scene of the accident but fails to properly identify themselves to the parties involved. In some cases, if the party left information with all parties involved before leaving the scene, a hit and run citation may not be applicable. Read More
