A man sustained critical injuries in a Riverside car accident after being hit by a truck while walking the street, The Press Enterprise reports. The serious injury pedestrian accident happened the evening of October 24, 2009 in San Jacinto ear Midway Street when a 1997 GMC truck traveling north on San Jacinto struck the man who was walking across the street. According to Riverside County Sheriff's Department officials, the motorist was not speeding and wasn't intoxicated at the time of the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
I offer my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of this injured man. He is listed in critical condition and is on life support at this time. I pray that he survives his injuries and makes a complete recovery. This injured victim and his family will be in my prayers.
