A 34-year-old woman who was killed in a Los Angeles car accident, has been identified by authorities as Maribel Corona. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Daily News, Corona was a passenger in a 2003 BMW. The driver of the car, Estevan Regalado, 39, lost control and crashed. California Highway Patrol officials say Regalado was speeding and that the car drifted from its lane and hit a raised beam and then the guard rail. Corona was injured by the guard rail, which struck the passenger side of the BMW. Regalado was arrested. Corona was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
