A 58-year-old man who was killed in a Los Angeles car accident involving a hit-and-run driver, has been identified by officials as Papaivai Masaga. The Daily Breeze reports that the fatal hit-and-run collision occurred the evening of November 26, 2011 in the 22100 block of South Main Street in Carson. Masaga was trying to cross the street to get to his apartment complex when he was struck by a Ford Mustang. Masaga was pronounced dead shortly afterward at the scene of the crash. Officials are looking for the hit-and-run driver who was last seen fleeing west on 223rd Street. Police say the Mustang has damage to its front side, including a broken headlight.

A car accident in San Bernardino involving a drowsy driver resulted in injuries for at least two people the morning of November 26, 2011. The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports that the injury crash occurred on Milliken Avenue when a driver who fell asleep at the wheel struck three people – one jogger and two bicyclists – who were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. The jogger suffered several broken bones and the female cyclist underwent surgery after suffering critical injuries. The male bicyclist was not injured.

Two sheriff's deputies in the police car and two occupants in the other vehicle, a van, were transported to a local hospital with injuries. All of the injured victims are expected to survive. A motorcyclist, who was fatally injured in a car accident in Los Angeles involving a suspected drunk driver, has been identified by officials as 25-year-old David Mack. The Los Angeles Daily News reports that the deadly crash happened at Seventh and Olive streets in Los Angeles the morning of November 21, 2011. Police say Mack was riding a motorcycle when a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Patrick Traylor turned in front of him at the intersection. Mack was pronounced dead at the scene. Traylor's passenger sustained head and facial injuries. Traylor was booked on suspicion of murder and driving under the influence.
