A suspected DUI collision in the San Francisco Bay Area killed one high school student and seriously injured four others the afternoon of September 17, 2010. The Contra Costa Times reports that the teenagers took off in a BMW during lunch break. The driver lost control of the BMW causing the vehicle to go into opposing lanes of traffic and strike an oncoming cattle truck. Officials suspect the boys may have been drinking. They found open beer cans at the site of the crash, inside and outside the vehicle. One passenger was killed, while four others including the driver were injured.
