A Los Angeles car accident injured Jose Gomez, 18, and his 16-year-old passenger, the afternoon of January 26, 2010 in Newhall, The Santa Clarita Signal reports. The major injury crash occurred after the Honda Civic that Gomez was driving went out of control and crashed into a pole. The Honda was traveling north on Sierra Highway when Gomez lost control of the car, went over a curb and crashed into the pole. Police say Gomez was traveling at the speed limit – 50 mph. A woman who was killed in a San Diego car accident involving a wrong-way driver in Lakeside has been identified as 36-year-old Bridgette T. Hale. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the January 26, 2010 fatal car accident occurred when Hale's Chevy Astro van crashed into an Oldsmobile 98 that was traveling north in the southbound lane of Highway 67. The San Bernardino Sun reports that the fatal pedestrian accident occurred when Ziesing was crossing the Highway 62 in Yucca Valley. A 54-year-old woman sustained grave injuries in a Long Beach car accident after her vehicle was struck by another car that was coming out of a parking lot. According to a news report in The Press Telegram, the woman was driving a Toyota Landcruiser SUV the morning of January 7, 2010, when a Ford Taurus pulled up in front of her near the intersection of Redondo Avenue and Kilroy Street. The Ford was apparently coming out of a parking lot. The force of the crash sent the SUV through a chain-link fence and left it teetering at the edge of an embankment near the 405 Freeway. According to a news report in the San Diego Union-Tribune, the driver ran a red light and struck 69-year-old Willie Robinson who was in a wheelchair and on a sidewalk when the crash occurred October 13, 2009. A January 6, 2010 San Francisco car accident proved fatal for 54-year-old Feng Zhu, who was struck down in a marked crosswalk. The San Francisco Examiner reports that the fatal pedestrian collision occurred when Zhu was walking north on Sloat Boulevard near Forest View Drive. The Press Telegram reports that the man was struck by a van while walking in a marked crosswalk on Ocean Boulevard at Orizaba Avenue the morning of January 14, 2010. The impact from the collision threw the victim about 30 feet from where he was hit. The critically injured man was taken to an area hospital. A woman who sustained fatal injuries the night of January 17, 2010 in a San Bernardino car accident has been identified as 60-year-old So Yon Bothe of Los Angeles. The Desert Dispatch reports that Bothe was a passenger in a car that was involved in crash on the Highway 58 near Lenwood Road. The Lexus in which Bothe was a passenger was going west on the highway when the 47-year-old driver turned the car to the left. The car then went into opposing traffic lanes and into the path of a 2002 Honda Civic. Bothe died from her injuries following the side-impact collision with the Honda. A motorcyclist who was fatally injured in a Riverside car accident the afternoon of January 15, 2010, has been identified as 37-year-old Ryan Wade Woosley, 37. KMIR 6 reports that the fatal motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of Dinah Shore Drive and Crossley Road. Woosley, who was going east on Dinah Shore was struck by a Buick, whose driver was attempting to turn left at Crossley Road. The Buick then struck a BMW. The two occupants of the Buick suffered minor injuries. No one was injured in the BMW. Read More
