A 41-year-old woman killed in a Riverside car accident, after the driver of another vehicle cut her off and caused a head-on collision has been identified by authorities as Sharon Brooks. The Press Enterprise reports that the fatal car accident occurred the morning of December 16, 2009, when Brooks was driving west on Gilman Springs Road near Moreno Valley. Pedestrian Killed In Los Angeles Car Accident
A 44-year-old-man, killed in a Los Angeles car accident, has been identified as Theodore A. Beason, City News Service reports. The pedestrian-car accident occurred December 8, 2009, when a Honda van heading south on Corral Canyon Road struck Beason, who had also been walking south at the time. California Highway Patrol officials, who are investigating the accident, say Beason, for unknown reasons, stepped into the path of the vehicle. Kathleen Leigh Willie, 69, the driver of the Honda was not injured in this accident. She has not been cited as the investigation into the cause of this fatal accident continues. Read More
A 16-year-old girl has sustained life-threatening injuries in an Orange County car accident after she was hit by a minivan while crossing the street. The Orange County Register reports that the teen was walking in a marked crosswalk the afternoon of December 7, 2009, near the intersection of Newhope and Camille streets, when a 78-year-old man driving a Dodge minivan south on Newhope, hit her. The girl was dragged by the car for a short distance. She was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. Police are still investigating and the driver has not yet been charged or cited. A 58-year-old man who was killed in a San Diego car accident has been identified as Thomas Klopfstein. The man was fatally injured after a Toyota Tundra pickup truck driven by a Chula Vista city councilman, struck him as he was walking across the street the morning of December 3, 2009. A 10news report states that Klopfstein was walking across Campo Road near Community Building Road when he was hit. The 49-year-old city official, Rudy Ramirez, said he did not see Klopfstein crossing the road ahead of his truck. Officials have not cited Ramirez in connection with this fatal pedestrian accident.

A pedestrian who died as a result of a San Bernardino car accident has been identified at 46-year-old Rafael Garcia. The accident occurred the night of December 2, 2009 when Garcia was attempting to cross at the intersection of Mill Street and Rancho Avenue. Garcia was struck by a 2001 Toyota Camry. He was taken to an area hospital where he died that night.
