A Los Angeles car accident resulted in serious injuries for two women whose cars collided near an Azusa intersection. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports that the car accident happened on Citrus Avenue near East Gladstone Street in Azusa when a Nissan pickup truck and a Dodge Neon collided. The driver of the Dodge Neon, identified as 51-year-old Cindy Barr and the driver of the Nissan, also a woman, were taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. Two children and one teenager were also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Barr's fiancé Tom Lambert said Barr sustained serious injuries including broken ribs and a broken chest bone. Officials are still looking into what caused this horrific crash.

A woman who was run over in a San Diego car accident by a suspected DUI driver the morning of November 23, 2009 was identified as 36-year-old Kristen Bedard in a 10news report. According to the news article, Bedard was walking north on Community Road in Poway, California, when a car struck her. Becky Marie Anderson, 44, was driving south on Community and left the roadway and hit Bedard who was walking on the sidewalk, authorities said. San Diego County Sheriff's deputies administered a sobriety test to Anderson after the fatal injury accident. She was then arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.

A pedestrian who was struck and killed in an Orange County car accident by two vehicles while crossing an Anaheim street has been identified as Carlos Gomez-Nila, 35. The Orange County Register reports that the man was walking on Western Avenue near Tyler Avenue the night of November 22, 2009 when he was hit by a Toyota Camry. He fell down and tried to get back up on his feet when the driver of a Toyota RAV4 fatally struck him. Anaheim police say the driver of the RAV4 saw the pedestrian, but could not maneuver his vehicle in time to avoid the collision.

There was a report of a terrifying dog bite incident at a dog park in Patterson, California, which almost killed a little dog. The Patterson Irrigator reports that 63-year-old Rachel Newcomb and her son Ron Toscano, took their 12-pound American terrier, Tiny, for a walk in the dog park. Without any warning, a large pit bull brutally attacked Tiny, taking the terrier in its jaws and tearing it apart.

A November 8, 2009 Los Angeles car accident left six people injured, two seriously, according to a news report in the Daily Breeze. The injury accident occurred on the northbound lanes of the Harbor Freeway near the Santa Monica Freeway and involved multiple vehicles, California Highway Patrol officials said. One of the victims is listed in critical condition and another is said to have sustained serious injuries. Four other victims suffered relatively minor injuries.

A teenager who was killed in a San Bernardino car accident has been identified as 15-year-old Angelina Bandino. She was fatally injured and another unidentified victim was critically injured after they were reportedly struck by a pickup struck on Cottonwood Avenue near Mauna Loa Street in Hesperia the evening of November 17, 2009. Preliminary reports by the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department show that Angelina and two of her friends were walking legally on the shoulder of the road within designated areas when they were struck. Angelina was pronounced dead at the scene while the other victim was transported to an area hospital.

Officials have identified a pedestrian who sustained fatal injuries in a San Bernardino car accident last month as 54-year-old Deborah Valdivia. The Press Enterprise reports that the fatal collision occurred the afternoon of October 2, 2009 near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Pepper Avenue in Rialto when Valdivia was hit by a minivan. She was taken to an area hospital where she died November 15, 2009. A police investigation is ongoing.

Authorities say that a 24-year-old skateboarder was struck and killed in a San Diego car accident the morning of November 15, 2009. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the unidentified skateboarder was going west in the eastbound lanes of Hacienda Drive near South Emerald Drive in Vista, when a white 1987 BMW driven by a 23-year-old man struck him. Witnesses told police that the skateboarder crossed the street directly in front of the car. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials are investigating this accident and have not arrested or cited anyone, yet.

A 46-year-old woman was left with major injuries in a San Diego car accident after she was hit by a van at a Chula Vista parking lot the evening of November 12, 2009. San Diego's 10news reports that the woman sustained a skull fracture and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries. The woman was apparently walking in the parking lot near Broadway and Palomar Street when a 43-year-old man operating the van slowly through the parking lot, struck her. The driver has not been arrested pending an official investigation.

A woman who was struck and killed in a San Bernardino car accident has been identified as 65-year-old Darlene Johnson. The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin reports that Johnson was walking near the corner of Southwood and Westwood lanes in Highland the evening of November 10, 2009 when she was struck by a pickup truck. The truck's driver was trying to turn left on to Westwood from Southwood at the time. Johnson died at the scene.
